|"Never leave a painting mediocre. It's always better to take a
chance with it.” -- Guy Corriero
What an encouragement to be daring, to take a risk and do something that
wasn't even in my original plan or expectation! In the act of splashing or
dramatizing color on paper I find new ways of painting and sometimes even
discover something I had no idea I would be painting. It may or may not be
something I will do again, but it is always worth the attempt, and gives insight for
further painting techniques.
Don't be afraid to try something really different when you are "ho-hum"
about your painting. -- Marilee
